Guys...at Wal-Mart they have a BF Goodrich tire called the "Land Terrain". It's an AT tire, and it has a similar (not the same, but similar) tread pattern to the KO AT. The difference is...the Land Terrain is $80, and the All-Terraiin KO is $153.

I really like the look of that Land Terrain tire, and a set would be a LOT cheaper. Has anyone got any experience with this tire? What do you think about it? Is it still a quality tire?

Check out the user reviews at http://www.1010tires.com/. This is a good site to find info on individual tire brands and models. I have no personal experience with Land Terrains, but it seems to me the old adage might hold true: you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the advice. But they don't have the Land Terrains on 1010tires.com. I guess these tires must be a Wal-Mart exclusive. Any opinions on them from people who've had then would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've seen these and they are more of a passenger tire. The A/T has 3 ply sidewalls and more agressive tread, pay the extra $. If you plan to wheel.

How about get 4 BFG A/T KO and 1 Land Terrain. Or better yet, try to let them give you a used spare tire in the correct size (if you are going bigger) and put a tire cover on it.

OOPS  sorry about that. I thought I'd seen them on that site...if I can remember which site I'd seen them on, I'll re post. Personally, I do recommend getting all 5 tires the same, in case you need to use the spare...

They are not a bad tire but suck off road...To be honest, if I knew better, I would have spent the money and got the better tires...

Wow. Sounds like you certainly do get what you pay for. I guess I'll just save up a little more money for a quality tire. I want to stick with a "LT" rated tire instead of this "P" rated crap Jeep gives us from the factory. I actually use my Jeep for it's intended purpose...I can't believe they put "P" rated tires on here. Anyway...thanks for the advice everyone.

I have bad news for you: "Cheap" and "Jeep" may rhyme but do NOT go together.

I am up to almost $6K in mods to the Rubicon and the only thing you can actually see is the 2 1/2" OME lift. Sometimes I look at it and wonder where all that money went. At least it came with MT/R's, that's about the only thing I haven't changed.
