I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these tires. They are made by Cooper. I've been looking for a mud tire in my price range and the price for these is $590 for 4 265/75/r16 mounted and balanced. any suggestions are welcome.

yep, I just bought 5 last week, dakota defenity mud 265/75/16E !!! I took my liberty wheeling at ATTICA this weekend and met up with the LOST crew. The tires are very good in MUD, SAND,WATER, but they do have some tire sing one the road and highway!! I did have to trim up the front inner fender pretty good to get them to clear and for full flex. I have a 2004 KJ with aprox 3 inch of lift, also installed 3 hockey pucks in rear springs to keep rear tire's from ripping off fender flairs.

Alot of work, but they look killer, note I plan on installing 4.10 gears front and back this year, the height does hurt you'r gearing some, but I put the KJ in 4LOW and it felt fine when wheeling in ATTICA this past weekend!!!!

One of the AZ guys I know had some Dakotas on his KJ a while back, I think they were the M/Ts but not positive. Anyway whatever type they were they didn't like our rocky terrain; just before he went to another brand he was starting to loose chunks of tread. Not saying you'll have the same problem, just putting it out there for information.

I don't have any experience with them, but I was looking at them before I bought my last set of tires. It was for the same reasons you are, they're cheap and look bada$$. The only reason I didn't buy them is because I was about to make a 2500 mile road trip, and I didn't want to run brand new MT's on the highway that distance. I'd say get them, they can't be too bad of a tire.
