After looking at every possible tire size that would fit a kj I decided to look at stock and found these. Has anyone tried them? Is it worth throwing them on or wait for funds for lift and go with the 245/75/16's??? Any feedback welcome.... |

How soon are you planning on lifting it? I got a set of tires 3 months (6000 miles) before I lifted. Now I'm annoyed with myself for not waiting until after the lift |

I really have no idea how soon i'll be lifting it. I took it out and played in the mud last night with my minivan tires and realized the potential. The only time that it let me down was on a log skidder trail hill climb. very steep, very wet, and clay. I'm not sure if i would have made it with the km2's but i do know it would have been throwing mud instead or turning into slicks |

I run BFG All-Terrains at 245-70 and they barely rub. I would recommend this size for you |

I bought my KJ with BFG AT's LT255/70R/16's and they only rub slightly on the fog light door at full lock. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but didn't I read 16" 255 or even 245 MT's (mud tires) cannot fit on a stock height KJ? |

ah ha I think the rookie may be able to answer a question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your 02 could be a pre-lowered meaning that stock ride height is 1" higher than mine. In that case you could clear 255's with little to no problem. |

It's hardly noticeable, a slight noise heard inside the cabin. If the tires were 1/8 of an inch smaller, they wouldn't rub at all. I've gone mudding and wheelin' with those tires, and absolutely no damage has been done. Here's some pics: ![]() ![]()

The tires sunk the fuel economy from about an average of 16mpg to an average of 14.5mpg. I would trade the fuel economy for the looks and performance any day of the week. |

I don't know if you added the .5 for the speedo difference if you didn't than that is only 1 mpg. that's nothing!!!! That just throws another option in the mix. I can't wait to see which tires i actually go with!!!! |
