Sorry bro, but I'm leaving today to head back to Vermont. We probably should have thought of something sooner.

Tell you what though, I'm not looking forward to the 17 hour drive I have ahead of me. Thank God for that Sirius radio or I'd go crazy - there is NOTHING to see when driving through Ohio, Pennsylvania, and upstate New York. It sucks. I'd usually just cut across Canada but I'm bringing a couple firearms and the Canadians don't seem to like that for some reason... :?

I feel for ya Nu Arty Boy. But I gotta add, nothing is as boring as I-65 from The IL / IN border to Lousiville, KY. Man that ride sucks. None-the-less, have a safe trip.

Nu Art Boy....That's because you are driving the northern part. You need to go to the SE part of Ohio. Lots of green hills and more hills....now that I am spoiled by "mountains" in Colorado. Those bumps called the Appalachian Mountains are hills.

You haven't seen "nothing to see" until you go through states like Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa.

Yeah, SE Ohio is pretty. The northern part was scraped flat by glaciers a few centuries ago....

Hello all

I'm interested in those and have been reseaching them also. From what I have read they sound pretty good, Consumer Reports has the old model (Fortera HL's) ranked number one in all around driving, snow and off road. There are tons of posts on them out there too and I havent seen any complaints as of yet. Plus 30 trial, 70,000 mile warranty!

I bought a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited about 5-6 months ago (23,000 miles - not bad-now 30,000) and now I'm looking to upgrade some of the stock parts so I can play offroad. I agree, the stock tires are crap! Would like to upgrade with a good mix of offraod/snow and highway tires.

I feel I should throw in that none of ya'll would ever get where you're going without the Air Force (well, I guess you could go by ship, but by the time you get there the war would be over.) :D

Seriously though, ya'll are really important, cause someone has to catch the bullets for us!

Oh, and Tech Control makes the world go round. Hoo Rah Tech Control!!

Air Force= taxi service for the Army, just like the Navy = taxi service tof the Marine Corps....

Why do soft MOS guys think that they are tough??? If they were, then you wouldn't need trigger pullers, right? I've NEVER seen a truck driver with a Ranger tab or a admin clerk with a Green Beret

I'd like to point out that every job is just as important as the "trigger pullers". Where would you be if the cook wasn't there to make food? or the admin dude to get you your paycheck (something they do screw up on plenty enough) or the intel guy to tell you who to shoot? I'm a Navy linguist, can't tell you much more than that, but I can say there are some of us that go out and do missions with seals, not to mention what's done on ships. (read a book named "Blind man's bluff" for that)

It doesn't matter what job you do, if you are serving in the military it's all the same. The guys with guns could not do their jobs with the rest of the US armed forces.

carroll952 is partially right. There is a distinct need for support. However, back when the Beret actually meant a whole helluva lot more than it does today, things were different. I'm only talking about 10 years ago too. I was a young Paratrooper. I can tell you this though, WE GOT ALL THE CHICKS! The support guys didn't stand a chance in town. If you look around, it's the "trigger pullers" that have the most respect and the best looking women.
Nothing against the Gavy or anything like that. My little brothers on float right now, my sister is Gavy deployed to help in the Hurricane Relief, as is her husband. My dad was Gavy. OHHHHH yaaaaa, kitchen table conversation in my dads house is great!!!!

What, Ohhhhhh, you mean my post. No, that wasn't a typo.

I hope you know that this is all just good fun. Every branch of this great nations armed forces is important. We were just brainwashed as young Paratroopers that we were the BEST! :P

Installed 215/85r16 on my jeep about a month ago. They rub a little on severe turns, but I plan on replacing my sagging suspension soon, my maypops wouldn't wait though. The are more firm on the road. I can feel the road a little more than my continentals, which were the worse tire I've owned. I get better traction in the rain and I have a lot more control on off ramps. There is a little more noise on the highway, but since I work in construction I like how it feels off-road.

I'd definitely recommend them to someone who spends two hours driving to a muddy, poorly graded job site.

Also, when I have to slam on the brakes because someone cut me off the give a satisfying squall.
