Mine 265-75-16
Installed 9/25/09
Mileage 129865 ( uncorrected)
I was according to the GPS about 4 miles per hour off before with the 265-70 with these I am about 6.5 to 7 off, at 70 I am running a hair over 63 it seems


First review
Tires are actually quieter than the BFG All Terrains I took off on the road
Handeling is good, no sway or anything thats not normal
People have been asking a lot of questions about them, rugged looks

I have them and LOVE them. noise isnt bad at all, just enough to let you know that they are agressive without even looking at them. very good road manners.

Installed 9-1-09 at 72733 miles, currently have 74xxx

you have any other reviews on these tires?

i am thinking about getting a set of 245/75/16 load c for mine.. after my lift is installed.. (2 inch BDS)

no updates yet, hope to this weekend though so far so good on wet and dry roads. Not much of anywhere to go where I live to try them out.

I'll add my review....last weekend we had a little snow storm....then it's a blizzard today and it's supposed to be worse tomorrow :shock: so guess what..... I'm headin up in the high country again saturday.

- First Review Rain / Wet highway / Gravel
----these tires do have a slight hum on the road but far less that some meats do, as far as the odd rumor of not having traction on wet pavement :roll: I pretty much slammed on the brakes to see what would happen....lets just say good thing my seat belt was on
---- these tires pick up less rocks than i expected, i expected them to throw gravel every time i left the road, both my old coopers and yohohamas threw gravel worse...(i expect the larger lugs don't hold the gravel like the smaller tread gaps do)

-Second Review snow
----I hit several old logging trails (If you know Montana than you know the old 40's logging roads are nothing but trails that very few know about) the snow wasn't very deep (2-6 in) but it was crusted and snowing while I was there. The thing that surprised me is I only required 4wd for one iced hill (spend the whole day in 2wd trying to test the tires)...couple pics of the "trail" to follow. These tires outperformed the Cooper Discover, Cooper ST, and the Yohohama AT/s in snow.

Sorry to jack your thread Tom but i didn't see the need to have 2 review threads for the same tire....so here's my .02, I'll add my adventures of the coming weekend when they come :wink:

Had mine on some old roads/trails on my property, they are all overgrown and nothing but grass/ mud etc . Where I had to lock it in before with the BFG ATs this time I drove in and out in 2 wheel drive no problems plus it had rained for two days previous. On the road good ride, little tire noise but just enough that you know you have a more aggressive tire on. Cleans out great when going through mud. Bring on the snow( but not for a few more months!) :wink:

Yes, we've already had a fair amount of snow here in Montana............... I like the fact that the DuraTrac is designed as an on/off-road all-terrain tire while meeting the industry severe snow service standards. That’s enough to meet my needs.

After a bunch of searching I was the same way. I don't have access to anywhere close to use a full on off road tire but wanted something good in the snow and off road when I do get to go. Plus its a 600 mile round trip every two to three weeks to go down and take care of my parents so a godd road tire was needed. This seemed like a good middle of the road type of tire . happy so far with them.

yea diesel I'm not sure how familiar you are with my neck of the country, I play in the Little Belt Mountains most of the time. Those pictures are from just an old trail on top of Kings Hill. With this little warm spurt we're having now I'm gonna go try Allen Gulch this weekend to get not only show and ice but there should be some good mud there too.

*Review part
I finally got the unfortunate opportunity to try these tires out on ice, few days ago (last friday I think) driving into town the highway was glare ice. The snowplows had been out to get the snow off but the rain that froze was just glazed over and they hadn't sanded it yet. Needless to say I didn't push it but I also didn't end up one of the many in the ditch :lol: I am thoroughly impressed these tires have so far exceeded my expectations. The only remaining question is tread life, cause these are pricey tires.

Tumanator, I’m actually new to Montana. We live about 1.5 hours from the Big Horns near Sheridan, WY. I’m glad to hear that you’re happy with the tires. And it’s really good to hear that they perform very well in snow and ice, and hopefully you had the chance to play this weekend in the mud. I’m curious to see how well they do in the mud………… This could be the next “best” all-terrain tire.

I just had a set of 5 duratracs in a 245/70-17... so far so good, they look great an can't wait to get them into some good stuff... noise is not an issue..
