Tom, thanks for the review. That's a pretty impressive tire. Are you going back with the same tire or switching it up?

But will you get them again?

Even if I had the best tire in the world, I would try something new the next time because there could always be something better lol!

Don't worry I continue to check whats new/ whats in the works as far as tires go. Still have a lot of friends in the tire industry that keep me informed of new tread designs etc .
But so far noting else I like has come up

UPDATE
Installed at 129,000 miles
Now with 203,000 and still not down to the wear bars
Not sure what to do now, the way these have worn should get another set, but also some other ones out there I would like to try, but 74,000 miles is not bad for a set of tires
NEVER have I owned a set so long in the last 44 years of driving

That mileage is impressive. A friend of mine has them as well. His are holding up to the gravel roads nicely without chunking or scaring the tread. Plus, they are snow rated.

Your set of Duratracs were probably sprayed with holy water at the factory to help wars off evil asphalt demons. 75K miles is insane!

I ran these on a Chevy 1/2 ton at work. The truck spent about 75% of it's time on nasty rough gravel (by gravel I mean 1 1/2" sharp rocks) roads. The farm has tried every kind of tire out there, looking for longevity. Typical lifespan is 15-20k miles. The gravel just destroys anything.

I ran mine to death, literally. Came out the door one morning and had 2 flats, and got them swapped out (they were basically bald). I was 50 miles short of 40k. Put another set on the truck, didn't even ask the price.

If you want a good All-terrain tire that lasts, especially on gravel, this is what you want.

Thanks, I guess that's what I'll run. I just want to make sure they are good for lots of gravel. I guess the standard ones are LT's? off to tirerack again...
