I just had a set of BFG AT/KOs in 30x9.5x15 installed on a set of 15x7 Soft 8s with 4" backspace. The bad news is they rub both on the left and the right front. Here's where they rub on the right side. ![]() On the left, they are rubbing at both the front ![]() and the rear of the wheel well. ![]() It's just the plastic liner, but what is the best way to fix this? Heat the liner and make it fit? Remove the liner completely? The good news is the little Liberty looks kind of tuff with the AT/KOs! ![]() |

the protrusion you're pointing out behind the tires is the fenderliner covering the pinch weld heat it up, cut the liner on either side of the pinch, lift up the liner and beat the pinch weld seam flat then use the heat gun again and strips cut from the part that makes the liner stick out in that area, and use the heat gun to plastic-weld the liner flap back down for the front, heat gun, let it get soft and push it forward with the handle of a hammer or something both typical areas for tires to rub there's a few threads around the forum concerning pounding the pinch |

Silly question, maybe: are you lifted? If that is the rub you are getting on the street, I would not venture off-road until this is corrected. There in Toledo, I'd put some paint or something on the pinch weld after I beat it flat as insurance against rust from paint damage or the seam being unsealed a bit. Driving through salt water a few months a year... |

Nope. No lift how hard is it to pull the liner, bend the weld, then replace the liner? Cutting it and melting it back together seems like more work than necessary. Will driving it like this cause any damage? I won't have time to fix it until Sunday. Will it eventually rub through to the pinch weld and cut into the tire? |

Easy fellas! I figured it out. ![]() it's not pretty, but it's just a wheel well. It's still rubbing a bit on the plastic when you turn the wheel to lock. I was looking at it and it does appear that the suspention has sagged a bit. Thanks for the help! |

ok, the rubbing is now driving me crazy. Wait a minute, the nagging from the wife and daughter about the rubbing is driving me crazy. I do see that the front has sagged a bit, to I need some kind of spacer or new springs to raise the front or is there another fix? Don't make me break out the hydraulic ram! I'll show that wheel well who's boss! |

the left front it rubbing just a bit. Nothing that can't be fixed with a bit more heat. The right side is the problem. I have the liner pushed down pretty flat, and the pinch weld it folded over. |
