Hey guys, so I'm getting ready to order my lift, and figuring out everything I need (read: budgeting my money).
Facts:
-I have a 2007 6-speed with 53,xxx miles
-Right now I have
NO lift.
-I have 235/70-15
BFGoodrich Radial Long Trail T/A-Cragar D Window 15x7 w/ 4.0 inches of Backspace
-I'm getting roughly about 18 inches from center of wheel to the fender front and rear
(about 12.5 inches at pinch weld, also Jeep was not level, not sure if that makes a difference).
-I am going to pound the pinch weld
(preferably before I buy the tires.)-I plan on buying the
Frankenlift Premium III think that is everything.
(Let me know if you need more info)I'm looking at tires, reading many posts, including the 6 pages of Tom's review, I'm pretty sure I am going to go with the
Goodyear Wrangler DuraTracs.
I plan on buying the
DuraTracs in a
31x10.5R 15.
So, I guess what my question(s) is (are); ..lol..
(specifically with the tire size, not brand [and I know different brands have different actual sizes even though the "official" tire size is the same])-Will it even be possible to run these with no lift?
(I'm assuming not, especially without major front bumper modification)-Will it even be possible to run these after the lift?
-How will it affect how the Jeep drives?
(I know 30.5 should be ok without having to re-gear).
-And, pretty much any info/suggestions you
(smarter) people can think of.
Just as a small comparison, according to TireRack,
The
Goodyear Wrangler DuraTracs;
-in a 31X10.5R15 are 10.5" wide and 30.5" in diameter
-in a 245/75R16 are 9.8" wide and 30.5" in diameter
-in a 265/75R16 are 10.5" wide and 31.7" in diameter
(tommudds)Once again, thanks in advance for all the very knowledgeable responses I know I'm going to receive
