As a side note to my recent Rubicon tires and rims upgrade, if you have the roof mounted on board computer that has the tire pressure monitor system, you need to remove the wheel sensors from the stock tires/rims and get them installed on your upgraded tires. The dealer will have to do this for you and then sync them up with the computer in order to turn off the dash and computer display warnings.

At least that is how it is in my '06 limited.

By the way, that means I have the nice, 17" stock, Limited, rims and tires for sale to anyone who may be interested - they have 400 miles on them!!

Cheers!

Your dealer moved the wheel sensors for you? Not bad! What size tires did you get - will the dealer install oversize tires with the sensors?

I will be purchasing a set of Goodyear MTRs today....and putting them on my stock '06 Renny rims....I do have a tire pressure monitoring system...but its not displayed on EVIC...as I don't have EVIC....it simply makes a light go on the dash warning of low pressure.

I understand the tire pressure is monitored by the valves stems??

Will these 245/75/16 MTR's affect this system....even if the pressure is correct?

Thanks....normally fairly mechanically inclined....just this new computer stuff sometimes gets me.
