Well its that time...my Cooper ATRs are on there last mile. Time for some new meats. I have narrowed it down but I am torn between the KOs and the Grabber ATs. The Grabbers seem to be cheaper and lighter in weight than the K/Os so im leaning torward them but I could use someone elses opinion. The size is either going to be 225/75 16s or 245/70 16s. I always liked the taller and skinnier tires they seem to bite more then wider tires. All feedback is appreciated

I have run both tires. In my opinion, there is NO WAY I would ever buy a BFG ever again. The General has a more open tread which works better in mud and snow. It has deeper tread which means more tread life. It has a 60k mile warranty. It has more siping for safer on-road travel. It has more open outer lugs to let water evacuate the tire. It has rim protection flanges. And above all that...it's SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive. The Grabber AT2 is basically everything the BFG is, and MORE, for less money. It's a no-brainer if those are the only two tires you are looking at.

I have run multiple sets of both and they are pretty damned similar, so since the General is a lot less expensive to me it's a no brainer.

I think the Grabber AT2 will be my next set here in a week or two. BFG AT KO in 265/70/16 are $200.00 + the General Grabber AT2 are $125.00 with 60k warr. Im going to give them a shot !!

im going to agree with everyone else....grabbers are cheaper and very similar...not to mention the fact that i hate the bfg's. i say personally you go with the duratracs if your willing to spend the money on the bfg's.

usually I would agree but I think that BFG has been resting on this design for too long and is being passed by the competition. General has become a household name in the last 10 years and is constantly coming out with new product. When was the last time you saw a new a/t come rolling outta BFG? I know a few years ago they changed the name to include the KO but don't think there was any update to the tire itself.
