After my OME lift I'm looking at getting Treadwright MT's in 265/70/16 on stock rims. Would this work? Or are they to wide to work with my stock backspacing. They're 31x10.2. If that wont work ill just go 245/75. Thank y'all, Dalton Caudell |

Just got the OME lift with Boilers top plates and got the Treadwright MT in the same size mounted. Only tried one on the front and it rubs the upper control arm. I have had 1.5" spacers on order for two weeks just waiting for them to show up. In the mean time I am running my old Cherokee rims and tires. Hopefully will have it all put together by this weekend and can let you know how it all worked. |

Please let me know how that works out for you. I'm ready to do some trimming just cant really afford the spacers. Was it rubbing just at full lock? |

Got the lift on and with a Boiler's top plate and a couple of clevis rings I am sitting at 21.75" in the front and 22.25" in the rear. I couldn't wait any longer so I installed the tires on my stock rims without the spacers. Since I already have the pinch weld taken care there were no issues on the back side but there was pretty good rubbing at full lock on the front. I do believe the tires were also rubbing the upper control arm, there was not enough room to put you finger between the upper arm and the sidewall of the tire. When I took them off they looked like they may had been rubbing the raised letters a little. Got the 1.5" spacers today, I really could have gotten by with 1.25" but I like the look of the tires hanging out a little. Now it really scrubs while turning so I have been working all afternoon heating up the plastic and forming it away from the tire path. Now it only rubs in reverse at full lock on the driver's side. I'll post some pics some day but I am shot now and it looks like rain. |
