Cross rotate.

Back tires go directly to the front.

Front tires cross, then go to the back.

I never have on any vehicle I have owned. This way I only have to buy 3 tires next time around using one of the old ones as the spare.

Unless that spare is to old then you will need to buy 5 again.

5 tire rotation is the only way to go, way more tire life doing that way. Scroll down to see the 5 tire rotation.

I use the Tire Rack 5 tire rotation pattern. I want my spare to have the same wear as the rest of my tires just incase something happens.

The five tire rotation only works if your spare is the same and you start it when they are all mostly new.

Correct I got my 4 tires and replaced the spare with the same as the other 4 and had it put in to rotation when they rotated the tires the first time.
