as warm as rims can get, i'd initially assume it would end up coming off, powder coat yes, rubberized liner, not feeling it

Yeah I agree with this statement, cause even the slighted changed can be highly noticed on the highway. I feel the wobble everytime I get into mud then head to the highway.
