Im looking at 265 75 16 for my KJ... I have OME springs and shocks all around. Is this a good size or should I drop down 1 or 2 sizes.... all opinions welcome. http://www.treadwright.com/p-61-265-75-r16-guard-dog-m-t-e.aspx

ready to regear if going to 265-75s ? Plus having OME springs says nothing if there is enough room I've seen them sitting at 2 inches over stock to 4 inches BUT Best bet is 245-75 or 265-70s plus which wheels ? if stock better to stay with 245-75s |

you will need more lift then that to fit 265/75s without rubbing. not to mention retreads are generally a little taller then advertised, as far as i understand anyway. not only are the 265/75s tall and heavy for a Liberty with stock gearing but these tires are even heavier then normal because they are retreads. your best bet is to stick with what is tried and true and get 245/75/16s. |

I run 265/75/16's. I also run 4:10's. My tires are Treadwrights and they are/were a full 32" and VERY heavy! Even with the pinch weld knocked down and running a Franky II Premium I still hit a little. My next set will be around 31.??. My advise is don't bother with the 32's. Terry |

Stock rims will prevail... so is the consensus 245/75/16? |

The 265/70/16 comes in a D and a P rating so you can get a little lighter tires (40ish #'s or a little lighter). The 245/75/16 is E only and is over 50#'s. Something to consider. Do people have trouble fitting 265/70/16 on stock rims? I was considering those for a lighter tire, but I will do the 245/75/16 if it works better. I thought the tread width and height were pretty similar. Not trying to hijack, hopefully this is relevant to the OP. |

Im not looking for the BIGGEST tire I can get. The best all around, to include weight, height, width and definitely the need or lack of need to re gear. Wanted to ask if anyone had opinions on the others they have in the 245-75 flavor? |

I just put 245/75 Duratracs on mine the other day and I love them. I only have rubbing on the right side in the front (odd that it's only there) but I have wheels on there with less offset than stock and my tires stick out about 0.5" from the fender well. I think that's plenty of tire though. ![]() I have an RK lift on there. |

Stock wheels stay with 245-75s, 265-70s are just enough wider to rub on the sway bar etc on stock wheels |

im running 265-70-16's with 1.25 spacers all around. Had to pound the pinch weld and cut out the fog light door, and i still have very minimal rubbing. Completely worth it for the look as for power issues, none what-so-ever.. with a crd motor . oh and these are general grabber at2's.

245-75 seems to be the best bet, any thoughts on those other tread patters? |
