Would this set up work with minimal or no rubbing on a 2002 pre lifted? I'd like to keep the stock height and not have to do any additional mods if possible. Any pics of this set up would be appreciated. Thanks.

here's my 2003 with no lift with same size tires. barely a hint of rub on the pinch plastic. No trimming or pounding needed. I would recommend the 16x7 Cragars strongly with the 4" of backspace.

The 245/70s are more likely to pop a bead when aired down on a 16x8 rim. Many good tire places will not fit 245/70s to a 8" rim. Ask them.

If you are stock height and use an 8" wheel you will rub in the front just inside the flare, you will have to pount down your pinch weld and in the back it will rub when stuffed in the front 1/3 of the wheel well right behind the door seam.

7" wheel will work the best (experience with 8" wheels here).

If you plan on lifting it the 8" wheel will work, but not really necessarily the best choice. If I had it to do over again I would have 7" wheels with 4" backspace. (again, experience is my teacher)

As for the bead seperation when airing down, I had 235/70's on an 8" wheels and aired down to 15 in the back and 18 in the front. I have lost one bead because the rock won and it wouldn't have mattered what the wheel size would have been. Cleaned it up, aired it up and away we went.
