I heard from a friend that rubbing compound dulls the finish of paint and after use it will never return to its normal shine even after following up with polishing compound and wax. Is this true? |

Not true at all,you use coumpound to remove scratches, small defects, stains, you better work safe if are not use to coumpound, make a small section first, then, you use some polish or some finishing glaze and it will get back to its shine, and dont forget to protect it with a good wax or sealer... There are also different grades of coumpound,so you can choose the grade wich is more appropriate for your needs,go on youtube and search for some tutorial on coumpound techniques, you will find some very informative... |
