Spider Trax are about $100.00 per pair. If you put them on with TJ Moabs you are going to have MAJOR tire rubbing issues.

I am sure Tom will confirm.

That's not too bad. Does anyone have ANY REASON that I should not install these on my Renegade with a Frankenlift II &245/75/16s? Do they add any stress to the suspension?

What wheels are you going to use?

Depends on what wheels/backspacing/width/ do you rub anywhere now?
You may rub more if you use spacers, moving the wheel out could cause some rub on the pinch weld and rear part of the front bumper. I've seen some that do, others won't
Will it make it any faster, no :ROTFL:

Stock Renegade wheels. Don't rub anywhere now, but the lift hasn't settled yet either.

Sounds like I shouldn't risk it anyway.

I installed 1.5" spacers I got from JC Whitney to alleviate rubbage, worked like a charm. Not to mention I appreciate the look, one of my pet peeves has always been wheels/tires inset from the body of a vehicle, now mine are flush. One suggestion to all that are going to install spacers, take a wire brush to the hub before installing them, assuming most wheel spacers will sit flat on the entire hub, any corrosion may offset the spacer enough to throw things out of whack.

If you are running the stock rim size you should be OK to add spacers. Like Tom said above, you may (most likely) have to pound the pinch welds and maybe do some inner fender trimming in the front. You currently have 1.5" bump stops in the back with the Frankenlift, you may have to add more bump stop but will only know once you put the spacers on and flex it.

Do the Spider Trax as they are 1.25" and exactly offset your lift.

How you figure it offsets of the lift?

Well if spider trax are going to require cutting, pounding, or trimming it's not worth it to me.

Has anyone ever had a Frankenlift II and used spider trax without trimming?

Basically if you go up an inch, you should also go out an inch to maintain factory stability and center of gravity. Normal Frankenlifts are 2.5" and spider trax spacers are 1.25" (x2=2.5") so it is a perfect fit.

Our's has a Frankenlift, 1.25" spacers and I have yet to pound down the pinch welds or trim any plastic anywhere in the first two years being lifted.
Now that the lift has fully broken in and flexed every which way, I now need to do some massaging of the aforementioned.

Doesn't sound like fun. Can you post a picture of how it looks currently?

I'll post some pictures on Monday, as my wife and I decided to head out this evening for the weekend!
I'll try and get some shots of the front suspension at full stuff and see if I can get the front tires to make contact with all the plastic within the wheel opening as well as where it has worn the plastic fender liners.
We're on route while I'm posting this from our iPhone.
Have a good weekend.

Yes those will work, make sure if you go that route to torque them good and also use the red loctite , not fun to loose a wheel at 75 mph
