Hey guys, how do you think some MT Baja STZs would fit with an OME lift on stock wheels. My toyos 245/70r16s are getting worn down and I think I want to try something different. The MT Bajas are relatively light for that size at 37 pounds and relatively short at 30.4. I assume I will have to punch down the pinch weld and do some molding up front, but you think they will really rub otherwise. I drove 95% on road, with fire roads/hunting roads being the other stuff.

May get some rubbing on the sway bar due to the extra width and tread design
Just have to mount one up and see

Tom,

it is funny you answered first my friend as I almost sent you this as a PM. You're the wheel/tire guru for sure (I think you ran every combo out there!)

The sway bar would be at full lock right? It is really the only place I am worried as I can trim the rest. Do you suggest I just buy a single and see how she fits before buying all five?

For me it has come down to the these two choice (I think)

The 265/70r16 Mickeys which are 37 lbs each, 10.8" wide and 30.4" tall ( measured on a 8" rim though)

or the 255/70r16 treadwright pumas which are 40 lbs each, 10.2" wide and 30.3" tall (measured on unknown " rim""

So I save a little weight with the mickeys, gain a little width, and only .1" of height.

Tom, what you thinking would be more driveable pal? I know were talking only small differences, but many they seem to make a difference with the KJ.

thought about going with the 7/32" spacers JBA sells to compensate for the extra .6" width of the Mickeys. How will the specs change when seated on a 7" rim and not the 8" , it will be taller right?
