Howdy, I've got a 2004 sport with the steelie wheels, got a rockfather lift in my room, new tires are coming soon and I hate the steelies. Always liked the ZJ wheels but they are 15s and I don't want to grind down my calipers. Curious if anyones gotten them on sucsessfully. I know some 15s fit and some don't. The wheel I'm referring to is in the link below. Sorry about the long url as I'm posting this from my phone. Thanks in advance.

Soft 8s or most any aftermarket steel wheels will fit in 15 inch
Those you suggest ( picture not coming up) will not due to be too thick. And yes grinding down your caliper is NOT a good idea.
Plenty of good 16 inch wheels around or the 15 inch aftermarket steels

Which RRO lift did you get?

Thanks for the quick reply, guess ill keeping looking for a cheap set of moabs lol. I went with the rockfather deluxe kit, came with everything needed. Can't wait to get it on! Been waiting on tires which was waiting on wheel choice lol. Not going to install a lift with the tiny 215's that are on it.

I can not see what wheels you are talking about but I had the stock wheels off of my 98 ZJ on my 02 KJ with no issues (no caliper grinding) so I would think that any stock ZJ wheel would fit.

These are the wheels I had on my KJ:

Yep. Those are the wheels I was trying to put a link to. Glad to hear you fit them. Another uestion I just thought of. While looking on CL for a set of moabs I have found several sets of JK 17" wheels for dirt cheap. I know its the wrong bolt pattern, but is the only thing required to make them fit a set of adapters/spacers? How safe are those, since this truck is my DD.

Don't assume they will fit
try them first
I have found that some years are closer than others
also depends on how worn down your front brake pads are
some are so close that they will fit with pads that have 1/4 left but new pads they will rub
For the JK wheel to fit you need adapters

Thanks tomm, I think ill pass on the ZJ wheels. Don't feel the need to risk buying a set. However are there any shots of kjs with jk wheels on them? TJ moabs are kinda expensive around my area but the jks are dirt cheap!
