Am about to order a new set of 5 Bridgestone KM2 in replacement of my worn out Duratracs. I am Frankenlifted (2.5 in , i guess) . I want the max clearance. Can you confirm that i can go for 245 75 R16 without rubbing ?
Thanks.

I may have found some answers at
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=54955&p=613915&hilit=tire+fitting#p613915

As I was planning of getting to 245 75 16, and that mount them on rims with less backspacing ( pushing the tire more outside ) than the stock rims, I may have serious rubbing when turning. Moreover, I intend to use the KM2 for serious off road, and don't want to imagine the mess when turning the tires full of mud....
So for the time being I think I will go for 235 75 16 to give more space when turning. Any input ?... :banghead:

Topan,

you should be able to fit 245/75R16 KM2 without any rubbing at all. I have them on mine and don't get rubbing agains pinch weld a bit against the front swaybar, but nothing too bad. I have stock alloy rims with no extra back spacing. My KJ sits at 22 in high same as your more or less.

Fil.

hi Fil
you may be right and 235 sounded skinny to me, so i ordered the 245 75R16. I will try to mount them first on my off-road steel rims that have a bit of backspacing. If that rubbs too much, i will mount them on my alloy stock rim, and this should be ok, then.

Hope i will be ready for the "Pistes des Lions" (organised by Amada) in March with these new shoes !!
I had Duratracs before, i loved the tires as far as I was staying away from mud... :o
cheers !
