Some KJs did come stock with 17 inch wheels
But depending on year/miles/sagging of springs etc
if they would fit it would be a tight squeeze
no speed bumps/curbs etc in your future

they are stock jeep 17s she has about 52k on it and i have a brand new set of stock springs for it that i planed on installing before putting on the new tires. she doesnt do much wheeling at all but we do get snow and the 235/65r17s that she is running now dont grip for anyhthing in the snow or on the beach for that matter

Even new suspension a 29.5 inch tire will rub when fully turned
a tire 1 inch taller may rub more but also depends on the tire brand/type of tire/tread pattern

I'm ran some Falken High Country 245/70/16 AT's on stock Renegade rims for MAYBE 1,000 miles before I was lifted. I did get some rub at full lock in reverse; on the swaybar. After my Frankenlift I still get some rub on the swaybar, at full lock.

thank you for the info i have a 3 inch rough country lift i know its not the best thing out there. i just got it for my wifes,s liberty for the looks she has no real plans on going off road other than a dirt road from time to time so i dont think i will have many issues with it. i would worry about it is she planed on wheeling like i do with my tj. i like her liberty but i dont think it will ever be able to do what i can do in my tj. besides again its her jeep not mine so i am limeted to what i can do to it because she dont want me messing with it all that much

I run 245/65R17 Wrangler Silent Armor and don't have rubbing issue but I'm almost sure that 245/70R17 will rub without lift as I have tiny gap at the full turn.
