Question:

P tires vs LT tires.

Will the weight of a KJ (with all the front end weight - winch, steel bumper, etc) make P tires feel more unstable compared to LT tires? As in hitting recessed manhole covers and higher speed cornering/curves in roads?

P's will flex more than LT's

noticeable but probably not a big deal unless you're running Autocross.

- big issue is sidewall strength when offroad and the tire's air'ed down, P's cut easier than LT's

I'm a P guy, and so far, I haven't had a flat tire with the P's. :JEEPIN: If I were doing some serious wheeling, then I would want some sidewall protection. With that being said, I've heard a lot of people getting sidewall punctures even with the Goodyear Duratracs. So who knows, P's do ride so much better. I wish there were more aggressive tires that are P rated.

I'd go with LT tires.
Better off road and better suited to vehicles equipped with bumpers/winch
We're running load range E and our rig handles like a dream.
