The tires fit more then easy enough didnt even have to trim the pinch weld. Also fully flexed and turned i couldnt get it to rub. So anyone else wanting to try 245 75 r 16 do fit on my stock rims on my rig, and id didnt even need to trim a single thing

But have to remember that CRDs have heavier spring rate so they will not sag quite as quick.
A gasser with same mileage as yours will more than likely sit a lot lower due to sag
Also with 2.5 inches of lift 245-75s looks close to me, I like to have more room

I agree, but with my fully flexed....meaning two tires off the ground and two tires stuffed in the fender wells i barely if at all rub in the rear and in the front rub ever so slightly as full wheel lock.

It does look a little rediculouse since there is no lift, but hey for now im happy.

Im gonna take better pictures and get them to john tomorrow, there is plenty on room, i just took it out on some trails, with no rear sway bar i was lifting rear tires off the ground all night and tucking front tires fully turned, and the only thing that rubbed was the rears and that was ever so slightly.

Way more room then that picture justifies and then you think

Sorry to thread jack with my question. Didn't want to make a whole new thread.

Sounds like it's no issue running 245/75's on the stock rims. I got a set of Duratracs i'm itching to get on since I'm still currently running the factory wrangler tires on stock 16's. Was thinking of just tossing the Duratracs on the stockers today since my factory tires are shot.
Those on here running stock wheels with this tire size. Did you have to run it with a spacer on the factory 16's or no? I'm at just over 3.5" lift, i'm not worried about the pinch weld etc. I just don't want to waste the time putting the duratracs on if it's going to rub elsewhere since the stocks have less backspacing (or more.. whatever, They don't stick out as much)

hedsic, I personally am not running any spacers or anything but stock. with stock 16 inch wheels. You should be fine! at full turn nothing on my rig rubs

Sweet. I'm going to get these tossed on later today before I go fishing then. I'll worry about getting the new wheels later on. Thanks for the quick reply

I went back to the stock rims to eliminate my rubbing, with the lift you have everything should be golden.

So my front tires are shot from LBJ failure, if I replace tire's with 245/75's on stockers with the pinch weld pounded. from this thread I assume I could get away with it for say 6 months till I could afford my Frankenlift? This with mostly street and a couple dirt roads till lifted properly

I didnt even touch my pinch welds. And i flex the jeep enough to where the rear tires are off the ground all the time and the front is as stuffed as it can get. Also i do not have a rear sway bar.
