Is anyone running 235/75/16 tires on stock rims that could tell me what the actual tire height is?

Plenty of stock guys run them. I did for a while until they quit making my favorite tire in that size.

Mine were 29.88 inches and I ran them with just a clevis lift until 100k.

Hey Fish,

I'm looking for tires now too, and I also have an 05 stock CRD. What did you go with for size? I see that my stock tire is 225/75/R16, but there was an option for 235/70/R16. Did you get the 235/75/R16 size? Which tire? I'm looking at Cooper Discoverer A/T3 and the General Grabber A/T2.

I would just get the 225/75/R16 size grabber, but their website claims that it isn't snow flake friendly. I'm not sure why.

In any event, what size did you get? Thanks

I've ran grabbers in snow and have never had an issue they wear a lot longer than goodyears and bf Goodrich's both of those tires only lasted one year of driving before having to be replaced. the grabbers have gone 2 and a half and they still have some tread on them but they do need to be replaced this year before snow falls. Just my experiences.

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to throw some new tires on my 2006 CRD and was looking at the Grabber AT-2's as well. I'm wondering about winter conditions. I'm in Saskatchewan, Canada and we get snow and ice like crazy.

Anyone have any experience with the Grabbers in Canadian winter conditions? I'm hoping some of my more Northern U.S. neighbours might be running them and can comment.

Also, I'd like to go with the 235's as well...will the 75 width fit stock?

Cheers,
