:furious:

Had my set of Max Trax Treadwright tires for less than a week. I have done no offroading aside from the 5 minutes I spent on a gravel road. They have seen not quite 60 miles of smooth road driving.

I know they are retreads etc and I honestly didn't plan to keep them around longer than a few months but I still expected them to last me a full week of light driving use.

Starting to get a nice sized bubble on the drivers side rear tires in the sidwall.

Yep
Same way a couple of them that I have personally seen
keep going and the tread lets loose from the casing and you have a big bubble

Really sucks.

Even if they replace it I don't think I feel comfortable running these tires anymore if that is going to happen with such little use this fast.

Hate to say it but it also happens to new casting tires. But you are correct. Because they are retreads it is a lot more dangerous.

I honestly was hopeing you would get some mileage from them. let us know what trwadwright says and what your gonna do with the tires now. Good luck

If all goes as it has with ones I've personally have been involved with , they'll replace the tire with no issue. Shipping should be on their dime as well and you don't have to send them the tire back. So thats all good
Problem comes in that you now have to find someone to mount and balance it and you pay for that.
Now things I think about
Yes they are cheaper but
what happens when you are 300-750 miles from home and need that tire?
If you use a national brand name tire you go, get one the same size/kind and you're on the way back home in an hour.

Spoke with a rep today and they shipped a new one today for me and said they to give them the invoice and they will cover the mount/balance.

Yeah ever since those used Duratracs I got fell through I've been wanting those pretty bad. Was itching to get bigger tires so got these to hold me over a few months. Wanted to go with these so I could afford to get the armor underneath sooner since they was cheaper.

Generally non-retreaded tires only experiance sidewall bubbles from impact damage(curd shots) or from under inflation/age,

My wife tends to bubble regular brand new tires. Also bend rims, and scuff up air dams....all without knowing she ran into things....
