Good find! Thanks!

Do you think black center cap on black wheels would be okay? I kind of like the two tone plan but not sure if it should apply to wheels.

I weighed the bare steel wheels this morning, 23.6 lbs. Not bad for a 17" diameter wheel, helps that it is only 7" wide :)

I like the set up your going for. Tires will be cheap for you out here since there is a never ending pipeline of rubi wheels on CL. Let me know if you come across any caps. Looking for a set of older xj or tj ones.

Thanks! I hope to sell the JK wheels quick once I get the tires swapped over.

I saw some xj/tj caps on ebay, but maybe I will get lucky on CL again!

Black or grey caps?? I don't think the grey would fit as well in these wheels.

Can always paint them any color you want!
I think the bottom ones look better
personally I'd just run them without a center cap

Been looking for used JK tire, they are wanting ridiculous prices here.
Seen them from 750 on up and those are used , one set had 50 miles and they wanted 950, just for the tires. :banghead:

Size 265 75 r17 with a 5x5.5 bolt pattern.Will 5x5.5 fit or ?

Are you going to paint your wheels black? If so, then I would paint the center caps a different color. I'm not a big fan of the "all black" look, but that's just me. Like what Tom suggested, you can always paint them if you need to. If you don't like the color, then you have the option to go back and repaint. I'm planning to buy these for my XJ.

I checked this morning just for you Tom:

Hub fits fine:

Did three lug nuts and tried to take the best picture of the other studs:

I can't see an issue, so it's up to the individual if you want to run these wheels, but if they are SUPPOSED to be a larger bolt patter, I sure CANNOT see it.

Next up is to get a new wire wheel, clean them up, and paint them!

My plan is Rustoleum Epoxy base, then Rustoleum Hammered Dark Bronze (close match to my Dark Khaki) and do Liberty Center caps painted black.... we will see if that plan holds up :)

They look pretty darn good on there
Now need 5 of them and $$$.$$ for new tires
Was hoping to find 16s so I could swap mine over :banghead:

I'll paint mine white
Used to drag race against this all black 57 Chev that had white wheels on it. For some reason that thing always looked good, even though he was behind me at the end
I know wouldn't look good on a KJ

I thought you always sell your tires before they are bald! You can find a few good deals on 255/75r17 tires ;)

What lift are you running to clear those 17/tire combo? I read your build thread, but couldn't see much about the lift you are running.
Cheers

It says right at the bottom of every post what he is running, of course he has a CRD
But basically you need 3.5 -4 inches of lift / JBA Upper control arms and regear with a gasser to run 32s

Thanks! I am running the OME 790 coils up front and OME 948 coils in the rear with a spacer (about 3/4" spacer) with the steel bumpers I a sitting at about 21.25" from wheel center to flare. I can clear the 255/75r17 tires because they are skinny and I have a lot of backspacing.

Been studying this thread the past few days! I'm glad the 300s worked, going to look for some also. BTW, the p/n for a 17x7 version of the 18 hole wheel mentioned a few pages ago is 52125069AA. that's my full size spare.
