Hello to every one. Impute welcome, as I am comparing two. I have an 05 crd with the adust a strut. Also a set of five Moabs. I like the bfg mud terrain, however they are only available 265-75-16 which I believe will cause a lot of rubbing. I do not wish to pound the pinch well. Also, like the 265-70-16 bfg ta/ko's. anyone on here with either set up, or that can provide info would be greatly appreciated. |

to run either - you'll need to make extra clearance for the width - pound the pinch weld ect - clearance the front fenders a bit, not a lot - but still have to work on it. one thing I've noticed is prices and style there are more options on the 265/75 than the 265/70. also - The CRD will pull the 265/75's without changing gearing - but if you do a lot of town/hill driving - mileage will drop because you're accelerating harder. highway - 65-70 you're in a good rpm spot. the 265/70 - which is the same diameter as the 245/75 - will be better for intown/acceleration - but a higher rpm on the highway. |

Thanks for the info ATXKJ, was hoping I could stuff one of the two in without trimming/cutting. I guess if I'm going to have to do the trimming regardless, I might as well go with the 265-75 bfg mud terrain. Hope I can get them in there with minimal trimming. Do you know what else besides the pinch weld needs trimming. |

I've got the ARB on front so lots of clearance, however the stock bumper will need some trimming at the lower edges. |

I can agree with ATXKJ, the power is there for the tires, a little slower off the line unless you gun it and I did drop A LOT MPG for my in-town driving, which I have been doing way too much of lately. Looks like you are slowing building your rig TonyP, and if you end up putting any traction aids in the axles adding the 4.10 would be too easy, thus making the 265/75 worth it. However, the BFGs come in an E rating IIRC, which is not a big deal but I think overkill on the stiffness and weight. |

Thank you both. I'm going to do a little more research on the BFG mud terrain 265-75r16 |

Don't care if you have a CRD or not I wouldn't go to the 265-75s unless I regeared Its going to take more than what you think to get them rolling along and then extra wear and tear on the transmission etc Plus the extra hacking / cutting/ bending |
