That tread looks awesome, reminds me of Richard Cepek FC-II Radials' tread. A couple owners on here run Dunlop Mud Rovers and like them. The RT's tread has the outer lugs like an M/T but has rows of three uneven lugs in the center, which makes me think it probably has characteristics of both M/T's and A/T's....possibly better wet traction than an M/T, but self-cleaning only as a good as an A/T?
Go with the 245/75R16s...the 31x10.5R15 LTs are an inch wider and are likely to rub quite a bit more...besides needing 15" rims.
