I found out by calling the local Goodyear Tire Store that Duratracs are not discontinued. Even better I'm getting 5 with out the door for less than the tires alone from tirerack.

Okay so I'm having a Frankenlift installed tomorrow and at tommudds recommendation planned to have 245 75 16 Dura Tracs installed at the same time. However, I was just informed that the shop cannot get them anymore, because they have been discontinued. I know Tirerack has some, but any road hazard warranty wouldn't be worth anything if I needed to take advantage of it. So are there other AT tires that are not too heavy, that wear like duratracs, and perform as well on/off road? I've used the search function, but I need to make this decision, before I get to the shop tomorrow morning so I don't really have time to wade through everything. |

Doing a google search there are forum posts going back every year the last 2 years saying they are discontinued. Yet they are still here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I just priced 5 out the other day at a Goodyear store and no mention from them, they said it would be a day or two but no problems |

The electronic system some places use for ordering will often throw bad info at you when you get tracked into an older area of part information, they may have tried to look up an older model of the tire and were either too lazy or didn't know any better to back all the way out and go back in and get it to list all available models and track in that way. Used to happen all the time when i worked oreillys first call if the search criteria was too specific and i didn't pay attention to release numbers |

I would hope they wouldn't discontinue them. I keep seeing them more and more. Hell, the VT State Police Fire Investigation unit runs them on all their trucks, including a dually F-350. |

FYI ***boys web site does not list any Goodyear Tires as a selection under tire brands.
