For wheel choice though, 16x8... But what about the backspace? 4" seems like it sticks out way too much. Would the 265 tuck better with 4.5" or 5" BS? And I do have my pinch weld deleted and a bit of the air darn trimmed. |

16x8 with 5" backspacing is what the tj moabs are. They tuck really nice on my KJ Depending on your pinch weld vs height.....might have to. I did mine before I even lifted it. Sent with the power of children's screams!!! |

16 x 8 with 5 inches of backspacing sits the tire/wheel right at the edge of the flare, same as a 16 x 7 with 4 inches of backspacing Looks good there and depending on tire size and lift it should tuck up in the flare pretty good not the best picture's but you get the idea, those are 265-75-16s on Moabs ( 16 X 8 with 5 inches of backspacing) 265-70-16s are about the same width just not as tall of course ![]()

Looks pretty nice! Doubt that it'll stay stock for long lol. Also is something missing on the roof or is it just the angle of the picture? Btw, thanks for the pics. I'm thinking that I'll go with 4.5" of backspacing if I go 16x8 when I go to 265s. It should be just enough to put the tire a 1/4" or so past the fender. |

Hey Tom, I'm being quoted at $183 onthe extremely low end for duratracs at a local SAMs club. I'm in Alaska where nearly everything is trucked in through Canada so it isn't cheap at all. 5 cheap steel wheels cost $400-$800 to ship alone as well! Call a few tire shops in Anchorage, AK and you'll see what I'm talking about.

New car , long story, hope to be rid of it ASAP. Nice car but.... Something missing on the roof? Yes check John3:16s roof, sold my rack, new one coming soon You know of course if the wheels/tires stick out that much its going to be harder to stuff up into the fenderwells |

Nope, that's just the price of a tire haha. Mount and new stems on the new wheels probably $15/$20 or so wheel. Now that I know 5" on a 16x8 is optimal for that 265 series I may save some more dough and go for some mamba wheels! Thanks again Tom! |

And yea I know. I might need to do some playing. Depending on how far out, they might still tuck in when the axle shifts that little bit when flexing. |
