I drive a 2010 jeep liberty sport 4x4.
Wheels 16x8.5

Currently running 255/65s ATs I hate. I am looking for something functional (live in Texas and drive a lot of mud gravel oil fields as well as ranches with cactus ponds etc.)

Also looking for something that's cosmetically appealing and mean looking. I am at stock ride height and have never had rub once @255/65 even while putting her through hell wheel cranked and all.

Suggestions? Dynapros seem to be a fav. What else is out there that's beefy and mean!?

You have very few options in that 255/65R16 size, your wheel choice isn't the best idea either.
Could you tell us if you have any amount of lift?

If you do id recommend (with a 2.5" lift) 31x10.5R15's on 15X7 4" BS Cragar soft 8's.

Those wheels are under $60 a piece and the above mentioned tire size are much more affordable than your average 245/75R16

The 31x10.5 is also wider than a 265 mm wide tire.

Duratracs are a fantastic tire, but if you want "superior" mud traction they are not the way to go.

Dynapros. Reasonable price, great performance.

Ditch the wheels that are too wide
get some 16 X 7 , 4 inches of backspacing
then some 225/75-16 Duratracs
Dynapros seem to be a favorite ???

Don't know why I thought he had a 2.5" lift, I'll use lack of sleep for an excuse...

TreadDepot.com has a fantastic selection and great prices, local sams clubs can also get you great deals on Duratracs like tommudd has mentioned.

Some more information would be helpful. Like what AT tire are you using now and why do you dislike them?

I have to agree with everyone, in that if your stuck on 255/65R16 you will be very limited in tire choices. Dynapro's, General Grabber AT 2's, and Geolander's are about the only ones I could come up with.

Unless there is some reason you are stuck on that tire size, I would agree with what Tomm said

"Ditch the wheels that are too wide
get some 16 X 7 , 4 inches of backspacing
then some 225/75-16 "

A lot of people here like Duratrac's, I personally have had really good luck with BFG T/A KO's but some people find them dated and noisy. My Brother swears by Procomp AT's.

Hope this helps

Hey guy's, thank you for the responses, yea I wish I would have joined the forum before I started randomly doing things to the jeep. Can't afford a lift at the moment. My crappy ATs are darn near at the belt "forget name" can't afford new wheels either. Just going to throw the best tire I can on.
