Hi everyone ,
I searched on the forum but being French , I do not understand everything

So here , I have wheels 17 " with tires 255/60 r17 and a daystar kit.
I'd spent more on tires all terrain types BFG km2 or Cooper STT

How big can happen?
I hope I have been clear,

thank you in advance :D

First thing is how high does your Liberty sit?
Explanation, springs are weak on the Libertys and sag, even with a Daystar lift you may only have one inch of lift so will determine how big of a tire you can go.
Measure middle of the wheel to very bottom of the flare in front and report back
You should be able to run a 30 inch tall tire if not sagged too much

My lift kit is the 2.5" with origin springs and recoils.

I measured the wheel hub until the flare, there are about 34 cm whith my wheels :SOMBRERO:

34 cm would only be about 13 1/4 inches
If you are that height you have a problem.
Middle of the wheel to bottom of the flare should be 54.61 cm
IF you have in fact have 2.5 inches of lift , like I said most do not due to sagging weak springs

Im talking about the metal liner....Well becuase its metal and you will loose unibody strength

Post subject:  Re: [KJ] size tires with rims 17 "and daystar lift

No need to cut the wheel liner either for that matter
IF using the correct width wheels with the right back spacing and not trying to run oversize tires on a spacer lift
then no cutting is needed

If you are indeed running 255-60-17s as per your first post then those are stock height ( 29.1 inches tall)
If you have rubbing with a daystar lift installed
you either have a lot of sag or wheels are way wrong

But then you mention 16 inch wheels but no tire size or what width or backspacing the wheels are
so more info is needed

Why are you installing spacers, from the picture it looks like the wheel already sits out some

If you are unlifted and fitting that size tire I think spacers are going to give you more issues with rubbing
