OK guys, I searched and searched and it seems that everyone running the 15 inch steelies does 15x8 with 31 10.5's. I want to run 30 x 9.5s and I can't figure out what width rim/ backspacing will work. I plan on running a complete OME suspension, not the frankenlift version. I want to run my stock 235/70's daily and have some mt's in the garage for playing. HELP! Please

I know Darby ran some 7 inch wheels which would work great for you but cant remember the back spacing let me try and find it for you. Biggest thing with 15 inchers is them hitting the brake caliper. You will like the OME springs, they make a huge improvement over stock

i believe the cragar soft 8's will clear the brakes.....15x8 with 4" BS looks really hot. i just put them on my YJ, and it really improved the look of the whole vehicle just by widening the stance. i THINK the same set-up will work on the KJ.

im also looking at a kind of similar set up..

im gonna do a little body work to allow clearance for a 30.9.5" tire on a stock kj.. i plan on getting the cragar soft 8 with a custom back space.. the rim i want is 15x7 w/ 5" b/s

i know that these rims can clear, however is there any problems that can occur when you put a rim this small over the calipers? is there such thing as caliper rubbing? can some one with 15" rims chime in on this and tell me your input.

thanks..

You don't have to modify nothin, that tire is the same size as a 235/70-16 in width and .5" in diam larger.

30x 9.50 is 29.5" diam, 7.2" tread width, and a 9.7" section width (balloon)

30x9.50-15 is same height but .2 narrower that a 245/70-16

Tires are cheaper and better selection

I'm currently looking for replacement wheels on 4wheelonline. I just have to complete my budget before I get a set.
