So you want to run 265/75R16's with your 3" lift? This is what you can expect.

This pic was taken on a level garage floor. Tire is a 265/75r16 Goodyear Duratrac. Wheels are Cragar Soft 8's with 4" back spacing. And the pinch welds are beaten flat.

lol, yeah. When I bought mine it had OME lift and 32's. I tried to turn around on a dirt road, dropped a tire down about a foot (seriously), and the other side about ripped the rear fender off... I was like, WTH! I promptly sized down...

Funny, doesn't look like much room, but hard to tell from the angle.

With my skinnies, it rubs for sure, but never ripped off a flare...certainly come close at full flex though (mostly the rear right).

These tires aren't quite as aggressive as duratracs though.

Time to do a clevis lift. On stock rims, 265/75-16s fit with no rub and no modifications other than a 3.5" lift. I have a feeling the tires I borrowed run a little small though...

I was at 3 1/2". The front springs have sagged 1/2" after about 130,000 miles. It already has a clevis lift and top plate. Its time for a new lift period. Also there is a little difference between the KK and the KJ.

I was curious, so I measured the actual size of my tires. I have *loads* of space in my wheel wells on level ground (however, I did cut my rockers out and have a slant at the 'head' of my rock rails.

They are 235/85/16 Hankook RF10 ATM E-load. Unloaded (ie spare) is 31.5" actual.

Sitting on the ground with Jeep weight on them, they are 30.5" (45 psi).

How tall are the 265/75s mounted with weight on them?

Depends a lot on manufacturer/ AT/ MUD etc they can vary quite a bit
Plus wheel width also changes the height

It's funny about the amount of initial lift you got. I have the same set up, but only got 3" out of it (assuming 19" showroom stock).

Ah, thanks Tom. So, John, how big are yours measuring up?

What are you measuring ? Floor to top of tire? Or side edge to side edge? Weight on vehicle or off?

Hi John - I actually posted this above.

edit: Sorry I understand now: floor to top (centre) of tire

John...like I said, I think I have way more room...not sure what is different. We have basically the same set up don't we? I think you already have a bumper on, but that's it. This is a pic just after coming home from work on a normal day, normal pressure, etc.

The difference I see is the factory wheel which has different backspacing and a less agressive tire which is also narrower. All of those things combined makes the difference. Yours also looks higher than 22" from the side unless its just the angle.
