I wouldn't count on it. I think there is enough demand for a diesel Wrangler, maybe offered only as a Rubicon-only option. Less concern for a vehicle fire than gas in a roll over.

You would see a diesel JK before you will see another Liberty diesel. Liberty will disappear in a few years with the Patriot/Compass and the 4-door Wranglers in the lineup in my opinion.

they selling the diesel wrangler unlimited 4 door here, costs 44,000 euros

I'd still like a Rescue. I seriously doubt that Jeep will ever build it but I can hope. Until they do I'll wait for the diesel Wrangler Rubicon 4 dr.

Not to mention the 25% import tax on all vehicles pass or fail. I had attorney's looking into this for my business. It's basically setup this way to protect the car market here. If it were remotely do-able, you know how many people would be bringing in all sorts of stuff? There is always gonna be the "I heard of a guy who..." type scenario.

There was a US titled CRD Wrangler on Ebay a couple of months ago. It was a low mileage 07 model. I screwed up by not using the buy it now option. I wanted it bad but never paying full price for something allowed someone else to snap it up.

It'll be pricey, but it's a J8, so chances are if you shell out the clams, you're a little crazy anyway :) Not sure about legality of road use.

Theres alot of information out there on the grey market import, and its all very discouraging. Ive been there, done that, and given up.

How about a Cummins 4 cyl???
Too big?
And how about a 6 speed auto?

Flying to Phoenix today to pick up my Diesel Weasel and be with family for Christmas.
I keep thinking of a diesel unlimited but what I have is quite nice.

It's not impossible, just expensive. There's always gonna be some guy who's gung-ho and calls us up wanting a diesel wrangler unlimited. I say great, and give him the price and never hear from him again. Converting anew wrangler is not a cheap prospect...well maybe a little cheaper than AEV...yikes! Off road only too ;)

Converting the truck isnt what this guy was asking. Importing one is basically impossible. Converting one is easy if you have the money.

converting to Cummins 4bt is very doable there are kits or you can pay to have it done. http://www.jdjeeps.com/

A guy in my town did his TJ and I seen and heard it run. Its louder than the VM 2.8L
