Production of the Grand Cherokee CRD has been postponed from Jan. 15 to Feb. 22.

If the Feb 22nd date holds, ordering should be available by late January, early February and hopefully they should start arriving at dealers by mid-march.

The Bluetec version will not be introduced for a year or two.

My stealership, knowing that I am a sucker for all things diesel, called to tell me when one arrived. $42K+ limited. Kinda pricey, but I'll have to go see, won't I?

I'm a sucker.

Now that Mercedes and Chrysler have gone thier separate ways...don't look for more than 1,000 or less to hit the US market. Mercedes will save them for thier own Diesel lineup.

My wife and I were looking around our local dealership yesterday.(7/29/07) They had a white GC diesel. Had every option available on it. Listed at $44,500. My CRD Liberty cost $28,000 in 05.

I was at a dealership with my brother(he was checking out a Patriot), and the salesman showed me a GC CRD. That is the quietest diesel I have ever heard, and the vehicle was *plush*. If I could justify the money, I'd own it. But I can't. The Liberty feels primitive now that I've seen that GC however. Ah well, you can't always get what you want...
