I posted this in the Wrangler/CJ section also. Anyone have any solid info? I've been googling to find info on whether or not the Wrangler will get a diesel in 2010 or 2011 without much luck. Anyone on the forum have any info? |

like i said in previous thread, they are rumored to be getting either the 2.8L CRD, 3.0CRD, or the cummins 4.2L diesel. as for proof who knows, this is just what i have heard from friends in that work on jeeps and some other diesel tech's on other jeep forums. |

Any diesel jeep products for the NAFTA market were put on indefinite hold at least 6 months ago. 2012/13 would be the earliest you'll hear anything. |

remember the spartan 4 cyl 80s wrangler,with the 5 speed?Now imagine taking that 4 banger gasser out,and putting a FIAT 1.6 or 1.9 turbo diesel in there,a la italian diesel wrangler,worked for the liberty.......should sell pretty good. |
