Not unless it has a DEF system, which I don't believe the VM unit has. I believe it's strictly DPF, (although the Euro versin gets to Euro 5 levels with just EGR) which is why we have B100 issues
(from what I've read), AND poor FE issues on recent diesel systems. Everybody was crying about how they didn't want the additive and all of the "problems" that they thought would come out of it. Now, 5 years later, just as I expected, everyone is realizing DEF was the way to go, and even the 2013 Cummins in the Ram HD Pickup will have it (as the Ram HD Cab & Chassis has for a few now, without the issues that the straight DPF has, including poor FE).
