All,

We're soon to have a second child and we're realizing our beloved Liberty is just a bit too small. So we're starting to look at a diesel GC.

So the big question is, should we get an '07/'08 w/ the MB engine or get a '14 with the VM/Fiat engine?

Thanks. I'm just concerned because we currently fill the Jeep with the one kid and dog so thinking some more space will help.

as an owner OF an 08 WK CRD 4X4.. I LOVE it!... I would say it's worth it over the price of a '14 right now..

The girlfriend has a 12' WK2 Altitude and the ride is SUPER quiet and smooth, especially compared to the liberty I don't know about the WK but I would try and drive them both.

Thanks for the feedback all. Going to keep the Libby for a bit and will try and drive both. The only challenge w/ that is the 07-08 CRDs weren't sold in Cali so they are very rare.

VERY rare in deed.. I heard only about 12,000 WK CRD's were produced for each of the '07,'08 years... and no one wants to give them up
I had to travel 550 miles to get mine.. second closest I could find was 1200 miles away... XD

Congrats on your new addition. I'm interested what everyone is giving for advice. My 2005 Jeep Ltd CRD has 178k miles & for the first time in 6 yrs. will not pass emissions for state inspection. So I'm looking to fix, get inspected & move into a '08 Jeep CRD 3L. Bob
