I think the KK is the real reason they are having to discontinue the Commander.

From a distance it is hard to tell it from the Commander.

But when you get up close you can tell that, yes in fact is IS a Commander.

Just smaller

I wonder if they thought it was too much? Some insiders think that they were losing market share to their own brand.

A few posts in other places seem to indicate that the 3.0L will be squeezed into the Liberty.
The GC will be getting a third row seat.
The wrangler is now a 2 or 4 door.
The compass and patriot round out the bottom.

They only need an RL-like AWD minivan and truck and they would be their own autonomous line-up.

RL-don't care but 4 door Gladiator? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring the Gladiator with the 3.0 or even 2.8 if the "glitches" are fixes.

Cheers,
Boiler

The only true advantage I see is the KK situation , might bring our Libertys into the classic and desired status. Increasing the value the rides we truly LOVE.

Im sorry but I highly doubt the KJ is gonna be a "classic" jeep anytime soon, and good luck with that increasin value thing. But this new KK sure as HELL aint gonna be no classic ever  Ugly, ugly, ugly...will be interestin to see what the aftermarket gives these little KKs...

It looks like what you would get if a Jeep Commander and a Toyota Scion had a baby. And what is with that accordion looking thing on the roof when you open the top? Seems like they could have come up with something better than that. I will keep my KJ.
