Keep us posted how the install goes. Quite a few people here have the Bilsteins now and there have been some questions and answers about them for sure.

I know that I'll need some sleeves since Bilstein doesn't supply the ones I need. (From what I've read). Not worried about it though, I can reuse the ones from the smyjacker, buy some at the hardware store or worse case use washers as shims.

The shocks specs are 15.91" collapsed and 25.93" extended with 255/70 valving.
At static my shocks measure ~20"
Flexed they measure ~22.5" and ~17" so I think these will work well.

It is a great deal, free shipping too. Can't go wrong. I think I'll order these today for my lift. Maybe that'll be the kick in the butt I need to start ordering lol. Anyways, I believe Musclez used those for his lift so they should work. They're about the same size as the N132L.

Let me know how instal goes with the sleeving.

I brought mine into a shop here and they pressed new bushings in for me. The bushings cost me $3 for the pair I believe and they pressed them in for free. Worth a thought

A good day's work today. I finished sanding/grinding off the rust, then primed and painted the first coat. In a couple days I'll do a second coat of Rustoleum Hammered Black. Here is the proof:

Sliders prepped and ready to go:

Sliders primed (gray Rustoleum primer) and painted (Rustoleum Hammered black)

Installed new plugs.
First time doing it, turned out to be stupid simple.
New air cleaner
Installed new Bilstein 33-185552s. Those are a biotch to compress to fit into the mounts, didn't see that coming. I can say they are a way way way better ride than the skyjacker hydros that i had. They are garbage compared to the Bils.

Switched back to copper core spark plugs. Running really smooth.

Extended all four breather lines (both Diffs, transfer case, transmission) using MtnLuvr's excellent directions: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=44164&p=479198

This has been a big month for my KK. I started the month by noticing a coolant leak and when I took it to the mechanic he said I needed a whole new radiator! I called the dealer and said I knew I wasn't under warranty but a complete radiator failure after 3 years and 45,000 miles was poor even by Jeep standards. They agreed to cover the cost of fixing it but when they noticed my power steering hose was cracked and leaking every where they said I would have to cover that. So missing my Toyotas where all I did was changer the oil and that was it for over 100,000 miles (don't even need new spark plugs every 30,000 miles, lol!) I told them to fix it.

I got it back and decided to keep the maintenance rolling so I changed the pads on all 4 brakes because they were at about 10% and replaced the wipers.

Now I was feeling good and wanted to do something fun so I finally mounted my Hella 55W lights to my roof rack using some KC mounts.

Here they are mounted and flipped up:

Image

Here they are stowed until I get them wired and make sure I can get in the parking garage I park in daily with them up! I also didn't like the white covers and while I might end up not using them I hit them up with some black camo spray paint I had, I wish the whole Jeep was this matte black:

Image

Finally I had a few stickers piling up so I slapped them on the side window:

Image

Now to get the wife to let me off yard duty so I can get them wired in!

GoodPrepper, lookin' good!!!! :JEEPIN: The KCs on the roof rack are awesome. I hope you can get them wired up soon. :D

Also, it's a good day to fly the American Flag. Many thanks to all of our vets, past and present.

It has been a good Jeep weekend for me too. I reinstalled all of my newly painted steel accessories back on the Jeep today. The most challenging aspect was taking the front bumper off without breaking anything. Diggerfreek has posted some good directions for that.

Grille and bumper off to install AtTheHelm's front recovery system:
Image

Installed! This thing is rock solid.
Image

Now with the bumper back on. The recovery system doesn't stick out any farther than the oem bumper. Now I need a pair of D rings.
Image

Rola roof basket, Rock Lizard Skink Super Sliders, and AtTheHelm's front recovery system are all back on the KK again.
Image

Thanks to AtTheHelm and ArcticLibby for their parts in making this possible!

Got my new RL Super Sliders!
I'll mount them up and get some pics, then off to be powder coated.

You might want to rethink the powder coat, that stuff is near impossible to touch up after sliding across rocks. :2cents:

Not too much fun stuff lately, although on my commute home I began thinking about bedlining my roof rack and grille guard :juggle:

Those covers give it a whole new look. Nice Jeep
Did you use night shades on your tailights?
