Lol, yea that's tex in the background. We went to an off-road park with about 20 other jeepers. Tex, one other lifted KK and myself represented the liberty well.

Picked up this 3inch to 3inch silicon coupling. They didn't have any the right size at Home Depot so I had to go to the local speed shop. This is for the 4.7L throttle body that should arrive at the end of the week.

^^^^^^ It definitely looks cool. I hope it serves a purpose. What do you have in the open spare tire area now?

I'm not too familiar with engines so I wanted to know what is the 4.7 throttle body going to do differently and is it worth the cost ?

^^^^^^^ Half inch bigger. It bolts right up. Not many 3.7L guys have done this mod, but mostly 3.8L Wranglers have been testing it out for quite some time. Most people report better throttle response. I should be able to get the same results especially since I have a programmer, exhaust, and CAI already installed.
I'll be sure to report back when I get the throttle body installed. I haven't received it in the mail yet.

I definitely will. The half inch should make the transition from CAI to throttle body much smoother.

Ohhhh so is this like the throttle body spacer but this actually has proven to work and aid in the throttle response? Cause I know the spacer is just a few bolts and a thin piece of metal..

Keep us posted! I'm assuming you're gonna test it with the stock tune and then with hypertech tune?

nFodzy, no not a spacer. He's replacing the throttle body. He's using one off a 4.7L v8. The diameter is larger than our stock 3.7L v6's.

Not planning on comparing tunes. I'll re-install the "regular" Hypertech tune.
Who knows, maybe this would be the right time to run the "premium" Hypertech tune.
Bmxer: For the Wrangler guys, Hypertech actually has a "Viper throttle body" setting cuz they found out this mod was popular with them.
