Since i got my lift and bigger tires my combined mpg is 14. was wondering if this was the norm with a 2.5 ome lift and 245/75/r16 tires. Also the eco light turns off super easy now, example when at highway speed like 70 mph it wont stay on or when im going up a slight hill (used to stay on for it).

Yep, the tires kill it. This winter I was averaging about 12mpg with auto starts and my commute to Stony. I literally run Sunrise to Nicolls, so it's basically all highway.

Right now I'm seeing around 14. Sometimes a tad better, others a tad worse. Depends on how I'm driving.

I have been getting about 16 on the highway, 12 city with my 245/75/R16 Duratracs, 4 inch lift, and Rola roof basket. Seems 14 combined is about par for the course. You can click the Fuelly mpg link in my signature for details. I've been tracking my gas consumption for the last 75,000 miles, and I noted when I added the basket, lift, and larger tires. The overall 16.5 mpg it displays is over the life of my Jeep, including when not modded.

Don't post the combined, that's useless. Everyones combined is different due to driving patterns and location.

I get on avg 12 mpg 100% city. 22-24 mpg 100% highway. That's my current numbers. You really won't get any better mileage.

Our KKs don't get great mileage regardless. That's probably why the original owner sold it in less then a year. That or our KKs have too much power like a 457 big block. <- :ROTFL: yeah right.

Idk man, my worked twin 454s in my speed boat get good mileage...when the boat is towed. :ROTFL: :ROTFL: You spend more time fixing or refueling it than you do running it.

Tire size, weight of wheels ( if going steel wheels for example) what ply rating the tires are, tread pattern all make a difference in overall mileage
Running stock wheels, good AT in a passenger rating should net more than say 8 inch wide steel wheels with 10 ply mud tire

Agree. I got nearly stock mileage running stock sized Cooper Discoverer A/T3's (225/75/R16) even with the 4 inch lift. The roof basket was -2 mpg. The 245's were another -2 to -4.

See if you can pickup a Hypertech programmer. It will get you a bit better mpg.
My last fill was 18 mpg.

I have the data from100% highway driving. The worst pure highway I have gotten was 21. The best was 24 ish. Those numbers are from when I first lifted my jeep with the tires. I haven't done any pure highway yet with the 4.7l Tb, though id anticipate any where from 24 to 26 mpg.

And to be honest, I have no idea why I'm basically the only KK that gets that type of highway mileage. But yet again, most KK drivers don't do 300 miles of highway. Maybe they do but not 100% highway.

With the 4.7l Tb, city driving mileage did not jump any noticeable percentage.

Noticing a significant drop now after putting in my 2" lift and 31" A/Ts. Around 14-15 city before, now hovering around 11. Yikes. Can still manage around 24 highway with conservative driving and some drafting behind trailers lol.

Mine is the limited model and has skidplates.

When I was On 245/75 with the 4" I was probably getting around 20 mpg highway and 14 city. ATH bumper dropped me down to around 18-19 highway. Now with the 235/85's I get 13-16 mpg highway depending on wind and how much elevation change I have and around 10-11 mpg city.

I'm installing my 2.5" OME lift this coming weekend. Pending any installation issues, I'll be able to give you an idea of what my mileage is with 225/75/16 DuraTracs. Right now I'm averaging about 16.5mpg with them. It was about 14 to 14.5 in the winter.

Well a few people I know with the 4.56s aren't getting much better gas mileage than me. But some more low end would be nice, but I've got something big planned in the next couple of years that doesn't justify buying gears and labor right now.

2.5in lift on 245/75/16 Goodyear mtr with a 4.7 tb and a modified larger intake tube. I'm getting about 10ish average. On highway trips I've been getting 14. I fueled up for 8mpg the other day after all city driving... But! I've got an evap issue I've been unable to pinpoint and a large carbon ring around my muffler. I think I'm not fully burning fuel
