Like the title states, my jeep wont start and isn't even trying to crank but, all lights work no problem. I am getting the ETC light but, no engine codes. Side note, I replaced my fogs light bulbs with LEDs replacements yesterday without a problem but, today, it was a no go. First thing i did was disconnect the battery and let it sit. After hooking it back up nothing changed. So, I put the old fog light bulbs back in and still same thing. Any ideas?! I couldnt find any fuses that i thought would cause this if blown. Im really hope I dont need a new throttle body but at the same time I hope its not anything worse than that. I appreciate all the help in advanced!

Thank you,

Dewphy

Altenator? Starter? Mine did that and it was because I blew a fuse and a relay was shot from my hellas.

Do you remember what fuse and relay? Thanks for the response!

These things hate low voltage. Are you sure your battery is fully charged?

yep, I see this issue on here and more so in person all the time! if it doesn't sound like its turning over, hook up a charger check the fuse, and your golden. unless the wires are badly oxidized. then you have other issues to worry about.

and our KKs are smart, if the doors are open when their just on battery, they stay on for probably 2 minutes, so you must have been opening and closing doors like crazy or listing to music.

Your welcome. When my battery went dead I had all kinds of funky things happening. Dash lights were flashing, relays were buzzing, CEL was on, and other strange things when I turned the key to try to start it. It looked and sounded like the rig was going to BLOW up!
I hooked my charger up to it and that is when I discovered the battery was "bad". But it was not bad! The charger I have, saw the computers in the rig were still drawing power and said the battery was bad. I disconnected both the rigs cables from the battery and it charged right up.
That is when I discovered you should never charge the battery with an external source when the rigs cables are hooked up. Many 110v chargers use a fluctuating Amp charge (using high/low Amp fluctuations) which can damage the rigs computers. I got lucky when I tried it, no harm done to the rig.

You can if you like. I know a lot of high draw stereo builds use them.
For an everyday driver, I think it would be overkill.

One single good AGM battery like a 900+ CCA North Star will handle most any load you can have in a Jeep...
IMHO, a duel battery setup in a small Jeep liberty is an overkill and not required if you have a real good high end battery...

Some on the forums say the optima's are not as good as they use to be? Never owned one so cannot really say.
My good friend who runs a battery company tells me the Exide North Star AGM's are the top dog these days....
They kind of pricey like the optima's though!!!
