Sounds pretty darn good to me. Too bad the window was not open. 8)

Intake update:
One of the problems with sandable primer is that the name implies you should sand it. So, I have made progress, but then sanded it off! :banghead:
In this damp weather we are now having, it is taking about 2 days for the primer to cure.
I'm almost back to the paint stage again...

And too bad it was filmed with an outdated phone.
I hope your persistence is worth it on this one!

I like a challenge... Even if it doesn't make a difference, it will still be one of a kind.

In my case, I already have a Hypertech tune. Some are running without a tune.

I did nothing. Plug and play after the slight RPM hang resolved itself.

And, for others interested I am still working on the new intake tube mold... Funny how life gets in the way sometimes.

I dont know how the Cold air works so do you have any issues with water getting in the intake or is it watertight?

Noice. I would imagine no news is good news. It either works or doesn't, right?

The 4.7L throttle body will work on any year KK. Can't imagine why it wouldn't.
Stay away from the Jet chip.
CAI is not recommended for water crossings.
Hypertech will only work on 2008-2010 KK's.

I installed jet chip stage1 I think it's mostly safe for stock vehicle s and 87 octane gas but I'm not sure what parameters it changes maybe just boosts the throttle..

The Jet chip is known to only work for a short time, then the computer resets back to stock parameters. The Hypertech programmer is the only "canned" tune available right now besides a dyno tune which I haven't heard of anyone doing yet.
Recently, I emailed a few companies about dyno tuning, but haven't had any feedback from them.

on a recent freeway drive from LA to SF, much of it at 80 mpg, we got over 20 mpg in our 6 speed manual 2008 KK.

So does this mod make any sense for me to consider?
