Don't. Not worth it. My commute to work this morning consisted of -9 degree temperatures and completely ice and snow covered roads.

I hear that. Had a weird wobble going on after driving in the snowstorm. Found an inch thick ring of ice on the inside of the rim. It was on there so well I had to take a screwdriver to knock it off.

Solved the problem though

12KK SFD...where are you from in Vermont? I'm originally from Northfield, but also grew up in Essex as well. Moved down here to NC in '99.

Wow...definitely a small World. I was just up in Stowe & Waterbury back around Thanksgiving. I want some Heady Topper! haha.

Ha ha, the odds have to be pretty small! I was surprised to see it! My name is Lauren Howard. My dad works at Norwich. I'm not sure we ever crossed paths before. I graduated from NHS in '93. Good to know you now in any event!

I don't think I know Matt, but is he any relation to Denny Miles, who taught social studies at Northfield High School for decades?

It's cool that Liberties appeal to both young and old, and we all do what we can to help each other out. Glad we have folks on here like Tom who know from years of experience what lifts work and what doesn't, and folks like Gage who are willing to try out new technology like the Hypertech Tuner and push the envelope.

Likewise, strange of all places, lil' ol' Northfield, hah. I graduated from NHS in '97, & my Dad retired from the Army at Norwich...hence, "Sarge"

Yes, I sure do...I think he was a Freshman when I was a senior. Tell him that I said hey. And yes, Denny is Matt's dad.

I don't to do much of any, really. A lot of what I do is just driving class 4 roads and stuff. I wish there was a larger network around here of places to go.

I've only discovered this recently on the Internet, but it looks like Vermont has a strong overland adventure community. Vermont Overland is a company based out of Rockingham in the southeastern part of the state. They organize day trips and longer runs as well for people who want to tour the state, challenge their four wheel drive skills along the way, and end the day at a local brew pub.

If I lived closer, I think I would be up for a day trip with their group on some class 6 roads!

There are some great pictures on their site of people wheeling their old Land Cruisers, Land Rovers, classic FJ's, and Jeeps too.
