Depends on the cover, I don't think I could pay the $200 for a new ARB but I'd pay $150 for an ARB or Crane or Riddler. $100 for the others though.

Sorry I should have put I already have the New diff cover. I got a SOLID one awhile back, just haven't had it swapped out with the old one.

I just wanted to see what you guys think I should pay to have the diff oil changed and get the new cover put on. I can't see them charging me extra cause I'm giving them a new one to put on, they would have to do it anyways if I just had the stock cover.

Just do it yourself. Put a bucket underneath and undo the bolts (except top one). Loosen to bolt and using a thick flat head crack the cover open. Could also lift the front up so the fluid drains out easier. Clean with brake parts cleaner. Lower front end and re-bolt in criss-cross pattern and torque to spec (don't quote me on it but I think it was 12 ft-lbs...or until it's snugly fit). Pour the 2.3 quarts of fluid in there/until it spills out the drain hole haha.

To be honest, I think I'm too lazy. But maybe I'll give it a shot on my next days off.

Finally got a chance to take a power washer to my undercarriage and suspension components.
Also took some really nice photos of the Jeep alongside my friend's lowered Subaru.
I'll see if I can get those posted soon. Still waiting for him to send a few more.

First and last 5 min I'm probably going to have for the next day or 2. All my projects are due, I'm writing a paper tonight, have some homework to do, and have a midterm to take.... :banghead: I hate this time of year.

On the other hand, my dad and I got my sister's TJ's doors free. I pulled up, he tapped on the pins with a hammer. Top off, doors off all weekend. As you can imagine I stole it for the weekend lol. We don't have mirrors for the hinges yet, but you don't really need them in a naked Jeep 8) I won't let her drive it like that though...

One of these days I'll have a Wrangler, won't be a TJ though. 4.0 and 3 speed auto is great up to 40-45mph, then it's a slug. And it's weird to be turning 2700 rpm at only 70-75mph.

Forgot to mention, my sister went from wanting half doors to wanting tube doors now. She likes the freedom. AND my girlfriend likes it. I think I really sold her on letting me buy a JKU lol

Don't even get me started talking about that thing.
Best sounding thing in the world. I miss having a throttle cable. :|

In regards to our grille, the two outer slots that are covered... is there any benefit of having them blocked off? Or would it be alright if I was to open both of them up. Planning on replacing it with expanded metal.

You sure it didn't come with tweeters? They're up on the dashboard by the windshield and a-pillars. I think all KKs have them, but lose the sub if you don't have the stereo package.

I think I have a blown speaker or 2 now.

WOW this is from a while back terribly sorry bmx, to answer you're question no my kk did not come with tweeters. The holes are empty. I have 4 speakers

They are covered that way to direct airflow into the radiator removing them would change that airflow pattern

Thanks Tom. I'll leave the two outer slots covered and come up with something for the middle slots.

You could always cut the expanded metal to an exact fit and shove it in between the slots of the covered portions of the grille.

So I may have a slightly new(ish) product that people with 3+ inches of lift who desire travel might like...it's not new, but this will be a much cheaper alternative. I'll keep you guys updated...for now, it's a mystery!
