talking just the muffler here - flowmasters run around $70-$80 bucks...just like the Magnaflow. EXCEPT! the magnaflow IS a stainless steel muffler...the flomaster at THAT pricepoint is NOT. If you want a SS flowmaster, its about twice as much (at least at Summit Racing) at $140 bucks....right there should tell you something. The magnaflow only comes as ss construction...the flowmaster has several "grades"..and the one that's priced evenly with the Mag is not in the same category at all. Summit Racing didn't blink an eye when asked about apple to apple construction and which is better....Magnaflow all the way...they sell lots of both, so why would they claim one is better than the other when both need to be moved off their shelves. I do know the SS Flomasters run way more money.
Also, note that flowmasters are loaded with baffles/chambers to produce a desired sound...the Magnaflow is a straight shot through...another bonus.
Also note, that you only need the muffler and not the exhaust pipe or tip...our KJs have a 2.5" steel pipe going all the way back and are good to go as is...but then, you guys know that.
