what do you mean? what i was going to do is get you the dimensions of where the factory one is placed in the quarter panel

That is factory. I don't need to know. I was just answering him, letting him know that other than preping the surface, he should know where the factory ones are located. If he wanted it, IDK. He asked if there was anything else to consider...

I also noticed the weather stripping by the hood is also gone on your KK...is this a normal thing or something I need to address with the dealer? It's where the door and quater panel meet, right before the "vent". I noticed on both sides of my KK it does this...the one on the driver's side was just dangling so I pulled on it...then looked over to the passenger side and noticed the same "gap"

The what in the where now? weather striping? where? show me?

In the picture you posted look where the "vent" is on the hood...the black vent, right above the TR badge. Now look just right to there and you will see a gap where there is no "weather stripping" I don't know what it's officially called.

Yes...does anyone know if all jeeps are like this or if it's a problem with the stripping? Both sides are like this for me...the only reason I noticed it was because I had that last inch or so of rubber dangling from the drivers side...pulled on it then went to the passenger side and noticed it was missing as well. IF it's normal than no problem but if it's a default with the stripping then Jeep needs to address it.

my KK has like a little notch cut out of the weather stripping in that same area on both sides of the vehicle. I would have never noticed it until you guys mentioned it here. It looks strange having that little notch in the stripping, I have no idea why or what it is for.

Same here on my limited. I looked at the passenger side the other day saw the notch.
