Congrats unclejjg! :D :D :D

That is great feedback to hear. It is nice to hear some positive first-hand feedback on aftermarket guys who are actively pursuing the KK market.

Looking forward to some photos and details.....

Great lift, looks Awesome. That will be something I want to do in the future but for now I'm considering giving it a budget lift, not sure if it's a good idea or just wait till I have the money for a suspension lift like that or the 4". If I decide to do the Budget lift I'm between the Revtek and the daystar, which is better? or is there something else better to consider? let me know,

Thanks,
and again looks sweet.

Bingo! Basically, I went from 29" to 30.5" tires. This is my first experience with a lift and oversized tires, so I did everything moderately for the first time.

Okay, here is a bit of an update for you guys who are thinking about lifting:

1.) Review of Jeepin' by Al - Marlin at Jeepin' by Al is a great guy and has been very helpful through the whole process. He is a busy individual (as a small business owner), but definitely takes the time to answer questions. I actually had Marlin install the kit for me, and he went out of the way to make me comfortable while his mechanic was hammering away at the project. Feel good spending your money with him...he's an honest guy trying to make a living and he is proud of his quality products.

2.) Quality of the ride - As I said in a previous post, the ride quality is excellent in terms of feel. There is a bit of feedback (noise) coming from the rear suspension, and after talking to Digger, I am going to add a couple of washers to the kit and hopefully it will resolve the problem. Now, about the noise....it is not horrible as it stands. It is enough where someone sitting in the vehicle for the first time might wonder what was causing it, but it isn't noticeable as much with the radio on.

I'm pretty confident it is minor, has NOTHING to do with the quality of the lift, IS NOT doing any harm to my vehicle, and will be resolved by a small adjustment.

3.) Tires - I know this is going to tick people off, but I went with the Wrangler Silent Armor A/T tires. Let me tell you guys this with all honesty: they are significantly more comfortable and even quieter than the stock tires. I don't know if that will change as the tread wears down...but for a tire with a much more aggressive tread than stock, this is a good option. I was really worried about what new tires would do to my ride....let me tell you I couldn't be more satisfied. I wish I had some snow to play in.

Actually, while I had ordered them and intended for them to be added, Marlin decided they were not necessary. He said there was enough play so that they wouldn't be over extended while off-roading. As long as he was satisfied, I was as well. In truth, it ended up saving me a good amount of money.

I'll try to get a pic next to a stock soon. I'm going on vacation for a bit, so it may be a while before I have the opportunity. If I can get her done before I go, I'll post the pics.

As far as bugs go, the only thing to mention is a bit of noise. Like I said, I think a few washers will do the trick. There is a little bit of play where the rear shocks connect...specifically on the upper connection. I don't know if it is the same on the stock suspension, because I never bothered to look. I'm hoping that is where the noise is coming from.

Again, I'm trying to be critical for the purpose of giving a review. This isn't something that should steer anyone away from this product. As I said in a previous post, having driven on this for about a week now, I would feel comfortable trying a 4" lift on my next vehicle. My fears of suspension modifications have been vanquished.

Vigo,

Welcome to the boards. I know there are a few other guys on here that could answer your question about the other lift kits better than I could. I'm the type of guy that makes real gear heads cringe....I don't know much so I go with the most suggested and expensive product to protect my initial investment in the vehicle. Some times it works....and in this situation, I believe it did.

I think you'll find good reviews on the Revtek and Daystar system on this site if you search. I know the vehicles that used those systems looked nice, and inspired me to purchase a lift as well.....Digger's rig pushed me over the edge.
